Do I really need a pipette to put the blood on the test strip?

Yes, it is strongly recommended. For the Lysun lipid panel, a precise volume of 35 µl of blood is required. Using the mini-pipettes supplied with your device allows you to automatically aspirate the right dose by capillary action. It is the assurance of a successful test from the first drop!

I already have a reader from another brand, will your test strips work?

Unfortunately no. These test strips use proprietary optical reading technology specifically designed for the Blood Lipid Lysun reader. They are not compatible with other devices, even if they look similar.

Should I be fasting for the cholesterol test to be reliable?

Absolutely. As with a laboratory analysis, we recommend performing the test in the morning after a 12-hour fast. This prevents the fats from your last meal from distorting your triglyceride and total cholesterol levels.

The result shows a very high figure that I was not expecting – what should I do?

Don't panic, and above all, do not modify your treatment without medical advice. Wash your hands well (sugar or fat residues on the skin can falsify the measurement), check the expiration date of your tests, and perform another measurement.
