Is the collection with the 28G lancet painful?

The supplied lancing device has adjustable depth: start at the gentlest position and adjust according to the thickness of your skin. The majority of users describe a fleeting sensation of pressure rather than real pain. To facilitate collection, gently massage your finger before pricking and change fingers with each measurement.

How does the coding chip calibration work?

Each vial of MultiCareIn Glucose test strips contains a small electronic chip (often called "code chip") specific to the manufacturing lot. Before the first use of a new vial, you insert this chip into the dedicated slot of the analyzer – it stays in place for the entire duration of the vial. The analyzer automatically reads the calibration parameters of the lot, eliminating any manual entry and guaranteeing consistency between the reactive chemistry of the test strip and the result calculation algorithm. When you open a new vial of test strips, you simply replace the chip.

Do I need to be fasting to measure my glucose?

It depends on the purpose of the measurement. For fasting glycemia (reference value to detect a glycemic disorder), collect in the morning before breakfast, after at least 8 hours of fasting (water is allowed). For postprandial glycemia (which reveals your body's insulin response to a meal), measure 1 h 30 to 2 h after the start of the meal. If you are diabetic on treatment, your physician will specify the frequency and times of measurement adapted to your therapeutic profile.

Can this analyzer also measure cholesterol and triglycerides?

Yes, the MultiCareIn is a 3-in-1 multi-parameter analyzer. The same device is compatible with MultiCareIn Total Cholesterol and Triglyceride test strips (sold separately or in dedicated kits on SanteShop). You just need to use the test strip corresponding to the parameter you want to measure; the analyzer automatically recognizes the test type thanks to the coding chip of the vial. It is a durable investment that covers your entire metabolic profile with a single device.

How can I get refills when I run out of test strips?
